Trump to hold Montana and Arizona rallies this week in red-state swing

President Trump will continue a swing through traditionally Republican states with rallies in Montana and Arizona slated for this week as races in each state approach. His Montana appearance is reportedly set for Oct. 12 at 6:15 p.m. at Majestic Valley Arena in Flathead County, according to KPAX citing a source familiar with the matter, while the Arizona event is tentatively planned for Oct. 14 at 1 p.m. at Laughlin Bullhead International Airport in Bullhead City near the Nevada border, according to the Arizona Republic citing a now-deleted post on the Republican National Committee’s website.

In Arizona, the party is seeking to regain the governorship. Democratic Gov. Katie Hobbs, who won in 2022, is up for reelection in a contest described as one of five Democratic-held governorships this year in states won by Trump in 2024. She will face Republican Rep. Andy Biggs of Arizona, a House Freedom Caucus member backed by Trump. It remains unclear who will appear alongside Trump at the Bullhead City rally.

In Montana, Trump is campaigning for Republican Aaron Flint in the 1st Congressional District election. Flint is running against Democrat Sam Forstag to replace retiring Rep. Ryan Zinke. The state’s Senate contest for the open seat held by retiring Sen. Steve Daines also features Democratic candidate Alani Bankhead, GOP nominee Kurt Alme, independent Seth Bodnar and Libertarian Kyle Austin.
