Trump safe after being targeted in second apparent assassination attempt

The former president Donald Trump was the apparent target of an assassination attempt while at his West Palm Beach golf club, in a startling turn of events. Only a few weeks before this occurrence, he had attempted suicide once more. Trump has reaffirmed his safety after the incident. At the moment, a suspect is being held.

Secret Service agents up ahead on the golf course noticed an AK-style rifle barrel sticking out of the bushes some distance away from where Trump was standing. The attacker dropped the rifle and fled in a car as an agent quickly reacted and fired their weapon. Sheriff Ric Bradshaw stated that the weapon, two bags, a scope, and a GoPro camera were left behind.

Trump was shot on July 13 at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, with a bullet that just missed his ear. Vice President Kamala Harris emerged as the party’s nominee after Democratic President Joe Biden withdrew from the contest eight days later.

Furthermore, it raised further concerns regarding Secret Service protection operations in light of the organization’s acknowledged shortcomings in stopping the attempted assassination this summer.
